This post was triggered by feedback we received from repeating customers comparing our old website to the new one. It seems many people were missing the ability to see whether a ferry operates on dates adjacent to the one searched for.

In the previous version website, there was a grid to the left of the ferry search results that showed the days of the week where a route was scheduled to run. This way, the user could, at a glance, see other days than the one they initially searched for. This feature was initially deprecated while space planning for the new page’s layout.

The good news: We have now incorporated this feature in the new version as well. As you can see in the screenshot, it can be seen when the user clicks on the ship’s or the shipping company’s name. The schedule cell will expand in order to show more info about the ferry, the company and also the week’s days (three before and three after) that the schedule runs.

Moreover, there is a new feature that allows the user to step one day before or after their initially selected dates. This can be done by clicking on the arrows to the left or right of the travel date shown in the big white rectangle in the middle above the search results.

In Danae.Travel we know very well the challenges one may face while looking for ferry schedules and we are constantly looking for ways to improve the user’s experience. The above are just small additions that we hope will assist everyone to find and book exactly what they want in the best and easiest possible way.

We value your feedback so if you want to leave a comment on the above, please do!
