The national sailors union (PNO) has announced a 48 hour strike effective as of 06:00am on Monday, November 2nd and until 06:00am on Wednesday, November 4th, 2015.
In such cases ferries returning to Athens will almost always operate the final leg of the journey. Passengers however are advised to check with their travel agents, directly with the shipping companies or with the port authorities to confirm this.
International ferry routes to and from Greece are usually not affected by strikes but, again, passengers should double check with the local port authorities, their travel agent or with the shipping company.
