Strike action has been announced on most public transport media for tomorrow Thursday 13/6.
Specifically, the buses, the city railway (green line), the regional railway which serves the Athens Airport and the electric buses (trolley) will come to a halt for the whole day.
In addition, a 2 hour step-out has been announced by the air traffic controllers from 15:00 to 17:00 which may bring some delays to flights in the Greek FIR.
The strikes have been announced following the surprise action by the government to close the state-owned national broadcasting company ERT.
[UPDATE 12/6 17:30] – The Athens Metro (subway) and Tram have announced they will also take up industrial action but only from the start of the shift (05:30) until 09:00 hrs. Normal operation will start after 09:00.
