Meteorologists have issued a warning about the high-pressure system from Siberia which is expected to hit Greece. The system will start affecting Western and Northern parts of Greece on Thursday, January 5th. On Friday the 6th and Saturday 7th, all of Greece will be hit with very low temperatures, strong winds, snowfall and severe storms.

Ferry travelers should note that very strong winds will prevail in the Aegean. Southern force 8 winds on Thursday and until Friday mid-day and then Northern winds force 8 or 9. Also severe storms will hit the Greek islands on Friday and Saturday. Ferry connections will most probably be disrupted and travelers should contact local port authorities few hours before their departure.
